Meetings, Minutes and Agendas Information
In the interest of openness, parish councillors make all significant decisions in council meetings, of which public notice is given.
The Exmoor Parish Council meet on the last Thursday of every other month.
Members of the public are invited to attend public meetings. There will be a period of public participation and members of the press and public are invited to address the Council 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the meeting.
Please see Public Participation Notice for more infomation.
If there are no items from the public, the official meeting will commence at the published time.
Agendas are posted with at least 3 clear working days notice.
Minutes are posted in draft format in their entirety, within three weeks of the meeting and will be updated if necessary, after the paper copy is signed. They will be signed by the Chair at the next parish council meeting as a true and correct record of what took place.

The above 2020 Regulations enable local councils to hold remote meetings (including by video and telephone conferencing) for a specified period until May next year. Following the Prime Minister’s statement on Monday 23rd March 2020 the Exmoor Parish Council have been unable to hold their meeting which was due to be held on Thursday 26th March 2020, to pass the Business Continuity Motion.
The Exmoor Parish Council have all agreed to pass this motion via email response, as they are unable, at the present time, to hold a public meeting. The Exmoor Parish Council understand that this is not recommended procedure but in the light of the present restrictions they feel it is the only way that the parish council can continue working. The councillors emailed responses will be kept on file by the clerk for future verification if it is required.
